‘Sex And The City’ Stars Talk Channeling Their Inner Superhero & A Possible Sequel

Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson got a sneak peek of “Sex and the City: The Movie,” earlier this week and it is a definite “do.”

The film is smart, funny and full of fabulous fashions, including 300 wardrobe changes for the girls and 81 alone for Sarah Jessica Parker. If you’re counting, that’s one every 90 seconds.

But what else is it about? Sarah Jessica, who plays the ultimate New York single girl Carrie Bradshaw, said the movie, like the series, is about four little letters: l-o-v-e.

“We wanted to tell the story of who these women are now and what it is to be a woman in your 40s and still have great love,” she said.

Kim Cattrall plays publicist Samantha Jones, the sex-obsessed power player of the bunch. So what does she think of it?

“Kim, this movie is like good sex. Do you agree with me?” Shaun asked.

“Oh, I think it’s great sex,” Kim laughed.

The popular HBO series wrapped up four years ago and now that the women are back, “Sex’s” fashionable femme fatales are upping the glam factor at any cost.

“We had to one time send an intern into the jungles of Mexico to get a dress back,” Sarah Jessica laughed. “That wasn’t a cheap journey for one dress!”

So on to the fashion then!

“The fashion is amazing,” said Kristin Davis, who plays upper-east side princess Charlotte York-Goldenblatt. “It is amazing.”

And the ladies wear their fashions like armor.

“These women, [they] are the ultimate female superheroes. It’s just that, instead of, you know capes, they have bags and shoes,” Cynthia Nixon, who plays married lawyer Miranda Hobbes, said.

As for Kristin’s character, she comes back channeling a famous first lady.

“In my fantasy life I’m channeling Jackie O,” Kristin enthused.

With all this “Sex” excitement, could a sequel be far behind?

“I don’t know,” Cynthia said. “We were [at such a] breakneck speed to get this first movie out, I don’t know if there would be a second one, but it’s not up to me.”

According to Cynthia, however, there is plenty left over should another movie appear on the cards.

“I feel like we could release a second movie just based on stuff that we’ve cut out of this movie,” she said. “Magda [Miranda’s nanny] had a whole romance with a Ukrainian guy!”
