Shakira Updates Fans On Her Toddler Son’s Health: ‘Everything Is Under Control’

Shakira’s baby boy is on the mend.

The music superstar gave fans a happy update about her son
on Tuesday, posting a smiling Instagram selfie with 21-month-old Sasha to reveal
he’s feeling much better after being under the weather.

“Thanks for all the messages you sent for Sasha while he was sick.
Everything is under control now, and he’s back to his cheerful self!” she
captioned the photo, in both English and Spanish.

Shakira’s post comes just days after she canceled upcoming performances at both the Latin Grammys and American Music Awards.

While she didn’t specify at the time whether Sasha’s condition was the reason for her change of plans, the former “Voice” coach had tweeted that “personal matters” were preventing her from traveling to either show.

Sasha is the 39-year-old’s second child with longtime love Gerard Piqué. They welcomed son Milan in 2013.

Shakira added in her Nov. 7 tweet that she’d be joining her fellow “La Bicicleta” singer Carlos Vives “in spirit” at the Latin Grammys to celebrate the “incredible year” they’ve shared.

The pair was set to perform their hit duet at the Nov. 18 show in Las Vegas, where it’s up for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year honors.
