Sharon Osbourne Apologizes For Susan Boyle Slam After Kelly Gets Heat On Twitter

Sharon Osbourne has apologized for poking fun at Susan Boyle’s looks on a radio show last week.

A little over an hour after Kelly Osbourne defended herself against a Twitter user who appeared to take on the “Dancing With the Stars” contestant for her mother’s Susan Boyle slam, Sharon took to her own Twitter page to apologize for her remarks.

“Susan Boyle is a lovely gracious woman and I took advantage of that by poking fun at her,” Sharon wrote of previously suggesting that Susan looked “like a slapped a**” and a “hairy a**hole” on “The Opie & Anthony Show” on Sirius Satellite Radio.

SuBo, who rose to fame earlier this year after performing “I Dreamed A Dream” on “Britain’s Got Talent,” was in Los Angeles earlier this week to perform on “Dancing With the Stars.” When she arrived at the airport, she was asked what she thought of Sharon and Susan had nothing but nice words for the rock ‘n’ roll matriarch.

“She’s very nice, very nice lady,” according to a video posted by Mr. Paparazzi.

Sharon added in her apology that her comments were unfair.

“I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologize for getting a cheap laugh at her expense,” she wrote.

Sharon’s comments were posted on Tuesday night, about an hour and a half after daughter Kelly wrote on her own account to one user, “why would you punish me for something my mum said that make you the sickest one of all it has nothing to do with me. Grow up!”
