Sharon Osbourne: Jail Is ‘Saving’ Lindsay Lohan’s Life

The Osbourne family knows a thing or two about the fight against addiction – and matriarch Sharon Osbourne told Access Hollywood that she thinks that Judge Marsha Revel saved Lindsay Lohan’s life by sending her to jail.

“I think it’s saving her life,” the “America’s Got Talent” judge told Access on Wednesday. “The judge has been the only one to give tough love and that’s what she needs right now. I know she doesn’t think so, but she’s going to look back on her life in a few months and she’s going to go, ‘Thank you, God.’”

Lindsay entered jail on Tuesday and is expected to be locked up for two weeks – only a portion of her 90-day sentence.

“It’s not going to cure her,” Sharon said. “But hopefully it will be enough time on her own for her to rethink her life.”

Lindsay spent several days in a sober-living house, the Pickford Lofts in Los Angeles, before beginning her jail time.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, court documents have revealed that Lindsay is using a number of prescription medications. TMZ reported on Wednesday that the star will be able to continue on several of her prescriptions, including Adderall and Ambien, while in jail.

Her multiple medications have long been a source of worry to her father, Michael Lohan, who told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos earlier this month that Lindsay’s drug intake was “toxic.”

“That combination will kill her,” Michael said.
