Sheryl Crow Dating Longtime Musician Friend; Opens Up About Dangers Of Dating As A Mother Of Two

Has Sheryl Crow found love again?

The 49–year-old singer stepped out with Doyle Bramhall II, a longtime friend and musician who currently plays in her touring band, at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s 2011 Spring Ball in New York on Wednesday.

As the mother of two adopted sons — 3-year-old Wyatt and 1-year-old Levi – Sheryl has said she errs on the side of caution when it comes to bringing possible suitors into her life, and moves slowly to protect her children from instability.

“I’ve been in the situation where I’ve been involved with people and their kids, and if the relationship doesn’t work out, it’s heartbreak,” the “Strong Enough” singer told Prevention magazine in an April 2011 interview. “So I’m keeping the relationship friend-based when we’re around the kids.

“Luckily, we have a great foundation, having known each other for fifteen years,” Sheryl added of her budding relationship.

In addition to touring with the “All I Wanna Do” crooner, Doyle, 42, also co-produced Sheryl’s most recent album, “100 Miles from Memphis.”

Sheryl previously dated seven-time Tour de France winner/fellow cancer survivor Lance Armstrong.

The couple began dating in 2003 and announced their engagement in 2005, but split in February 2006.
