Sheryl Crow On Her & Tina Fey’s Duplicate Dresses: ‘We Had A Ball With It’

Sheryl Crow and Tina Fey may have been caught wearing the same Dolce & Gabbana dress on the red carpet this week, but the rocker says it wasn’t a fashion flub.

“For me, it was a blast,” Sheryl told Access Hollywood at Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood party on Thursday night, of her and Tina’s Monday floral-print run-in. “Thank God it was Tina, because there is nobody funnier.”

In fact, Sheryl was glad to have something to lighten the mood at New York’s Matrix Awards, a serious ceremony honoring women in communications (Beyond Sheryl and Tina, other honorees included Doris Kearns Goodwin, Gayle King and Ina Garten).

“It was a funny, comedic moment in a very serious engagement, so I loved it,” she said.

Sheryl rocked another colorful piece at the Us party, and while Tina may share her sense of style, Sheryl added that there’s another TV star whose fashion she admires.

“I love [Courteney Cox’s] closet,” she said of her “Cougar Town” star pal. “There is nothing in it that she doesn’t wear. She doesn’t have a whole closet full of just stuff. She keeps a few classic things that she loves and she always looks great.”
