Shia’s Passenger: ‘Transformers 2’ Co-Star Isabel Lucas

Shia LaBeouf’s car accident not only involved another driver, but also a “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” co-star.

Australian actress Isabel Lucas, who co-stars with Shia in the shape-shifting robot sequel, was in Shia’s car Sunday morning when the accident occurred, according to E! Online.

Though Lucas was taken to the hospital following the accident, she was reportedly not seriously injured.

A “Transformers” rep told E! that Lucas, who has been linked to “Entourage” star Adrian Grenier, was back to work on the film the following day.

Shia is expected to be out of commission for up to a month, following hand surgery he underwent at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Sunday morning.

A production source told E! that Shia’s absence will not affect the film, as they have a variety of special effects-driven scenes to work on.

The source goes on to note that Shia’s youth could work in his favor, saying, “He’s 22, he could bounce back in no time.”

Shia’s mom, Shayna LaBeouf, told E! that the actor was “doing fine.”

Lucas, who got her start in the Australian TV series, “Home and Away,” is fast becoming a staple among young Hollywood’s biggest stars. Last October, the actress stopped the slaughter of dolphins in Japan alongside “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere and a group of surfers.
