Simon Cowell Plays Coy On ‘Adorable’ Carmen Electra; X Factor Boss Still Striving To Beat The Voice

“The X Factor” boss Simon Cowell has yet to accomplish his goal of beating “The Voice,” but he’s not about to give up trying.

“You’ve just got to keep plowing on and you’ve got to make better shows and that’s always been my philosophy ever since I’ve been making TV shows,” Simon told Access Hollywood at “The X Factor” live show in Los Angeles on Thursday. “Sometimes the other side beats you, but you keep your head down, you try and make the show better. And if your show is better, in the end you will win.”

While the reality mogul is still “plowing on” in hopes of beating “The Voice’s” high ratings, he’s not pleased that this week’s election caused the two competing shows to go head-to-head on Wednesday night.

“It’s a bit annoying,” he said. “But you have to be a grown up about it.”

As for rumors he and recent gal pal Carmen Electra have spent “horizontal” time together, the Brit played it coy, saying, “Maybe…”

However, he did say the gorgeous former “Baywatch” babe is “very adorable.”

“The X Factor” live shows continue on Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.
