LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 28, 2007) — Singer Bo Diddley is in the hospital after suffering a heart attack during a routine medical checkup on Friday.
His publicist says Diddley was having a regularly scheduled doctor visit when he complained of dizziness and nausea. He was immediately taken to the emergency room at a hospital in Gainesville, Florida, where he suffered a heart attack.
Diddley had an operation and was fitted with a stent to help blood flow to his heart. He was moved this morning from intensive care to cardiac care and is listed in stable condition.
Diddley suffered a stroke last May.
