Sofia Vergara stunned in a Vera Wang gown at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night, but does the “Modern Family” star think she looked a wee bit like a drag queen on the red carpet?
“I kind of look a little bit [that wayl],” she told Billy Bush, after he brought up her recent interview with The Advocate, where Sofia talked about a past film role (2006’s “Grilled”) where she played a transsexual.
“From far away you don’t know, ‘Is that a?’” she said with a laugh.
The 39-year-old Colombian beauty said she feels like she brings a little extra intrigue while getting her famous curvy figure dolled up for an award show.
“Transvestites are an exaggeration [of] femininity and an exaggeration of curves,” she continued. “That’s how I feel sometimes next to other women. I have everything and then [I’m also] a little bit exaggerated.”
“Did you shave today?” Billy joked.
“A little bit, but I don’t grow [hair on my face.] It’s like here!” She joked, pointing to her chest.
All jokes aside, Sofia and the rest of her “Modern Family” stars had plenty of serious celebrating to do on Sunday, as they took home five awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
