Source: Lindsay Lohan Released From Rehab

Lindsay Lohan is a free woman, a source told NBC News on Tuesday.

On Tuesday evening, Radar Online was first to report that Lohan had been released from UCLA Medical Center where she had been undergoing court ordered rehab treatment.

According to Radar, Lohan was taken out the back door of the facility and left in a limousine.

TMZ also corroborated the report that Lohan had been released from rehab and added that she will now “receive outpatient care.” The website also claimed that doctors advised the judge in the actress’ case that she should be released immediately and the judge reportedly agreed.

A rep for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office told Access Hollywood on Tuesday evening that they had “no information” about Lohan’s reported release. They were not aware if Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox, who recently was given Lohan’s case after Judge Marsha Revel recused herself, had signed a minute order regarding the reported release. Previously, the DA’s office told Access that Lohan could not be released until the minute order had been signed.

A rep for the Superior Court and Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Access.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a hearing in Lohan’s criminal case is set for Wednesday at 8:30 AM in Beverly Hills Superior Court. TMZ reported Lohan would not attend the hearing.

Meanwhile, Lohan’s latest project – the Robert Rodriguez directed “Machete” – premieres in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening. A rep for 20th Century Fox, the studio behind the film, told Access that as of Tuesday, she was not scheduled to attend the event, as far as they’ve been informed.

Prior to her reported release from rehab, Lohan served 14 days behind bars for violating conditions of her DUI probation.
