With the huge slate of films Marvel has on the way (including more Captain America, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Thor) there are plenty of opportunities the studios can consider for Spider-Man to join in on the MCU fun.

After his appearance in the yet-to-be-revealed MCU film, Marvel’s Kevin Feige will produce the newest installment in the Spider-Man franchise with Amy Pascal. According to the studio, they will collaborate on a “new creative direction for the web slinger.” And, Marvel and Sony are “exploring opportunities” to incorporate Marvel Cinematic Universe characters into Spider-Man films, per the studios’ joint release.
