SPOILER ALERT: ‘The Bachelorette’ Wises Up

Jason Mesnick has some competition as the most unpopular man to step foot in the “Bachelor” or “Bachelorette” reality dating franchise.

In Monday night’s episode of “The Bachelorette” Jillian Harris eliminated Texas rocker bad boy Wes in Madrid, Spain, following her suspicions that he had come on the show to promote his music, and had a girlfriend back home. Her hunch was confirmed after he was rejected, when Wes revealed in the limo that he, in fact, did have a girlfriend.

Wes bragged to the cameras, “[I am] the first guy ever on ‘The Bachelorette’ to make it to the top four with a girlfriend…. My acting days are over.’’

In next week’s episode Jillian takes the remaining three guys – Reid, Ed and Kiptyn – to Hawaii where she will narrow down her suitors to two. The following week will be the “Men Tell All” special, where host Chris Harrison will have tons to talk to the men about.

“I can’t remember a time when I was more excited to host this show,” Chris blogs on EW.com. “So much to deal with that I’m going to need an extra couple hours from ABC.”

The final episode will air on Monday, July 27 on ABC.
