SPOILER: Shocking Elimination As Favorite Exits ‘Dancing’

He has a Super Bowl ring and despite his last place finish on Monday night’s competition show, former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner is still in the running to add the “Dancing with the Stars” mirrorball to his trophy cabinet.

Instead, “DWTS” offered its most shocking elimination to date as former “Hills” beauty Audrina Patridge was sent packing on Tuesday night’s elimination show.

Audrina’s elimination, which takes professional partner Tony Dovolani out of the competition too, came as surprise as the pair were No. 2 on the leaderboard following their 24-point scoring paso doble and 8-point scoring dance off on Monday night. They were also the first pair — on October 4, following a military-themed waltz — to out seat the early frontrunners of the competition — Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough.

“How shocked are you to be standing here?” co-host Brooke Burke asked Audrina just moments after she learned the news.

“I don’t really know, I just know that I’ve had so much fun this in entire experience and I’ve made such good, new friends and Tony has been such an amazing teacher,” she said. “I’m definitely going to be coming back to visit.”

Audrina also thanked the judges, who on Monday indicated their disappointment with her paso doble, which featured a lot of posing, but not a ton of footwork.

“You’re getting on my nerves a bit and I’ll tell you why, because you’ve got the potential to blow us all away week after week,” Len Goodman said on Monday night, while trying to ignite more passion from the performer. “Your dancing is clean and it’s crisp. Every week it lacks the character of the dance. This is like a battle on the ballroom.”

While never officially classified as a “Bottom 2,” Jennifer and Derek, who earned their worst scores of Season 11 on Monday, were the final couple saved to dance again next week, as Audrina and Tony got the bad news.

“It would hurt if they went home after what happened last night,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said of Jennifer and Derek on Tuesday before they learned they were safe. “You have proven over and over again that you’re truly a dynamic and a wonderful performer.”

Next week’s “Dancing” episode will mark the show’s 200th episode and more than 50 former celebrity contenders will be back for the monumental event.

Helio Castroneves, Kelly Osbourne, Emmitt Smith, Drew Lachey, Mel B and Gilles Marini will all return to serve as guest judges, while Apolo Anton Ohno and Kristi Yamaguchi will also be back to serve as head team captains for a group dance round with the show’s current contenders.

On Tuesday, Kristi, who returned to the ballroom, said she’s ready to take down her fellow skater after seeing him land a couple of his “Dancing” numbers in the Viewer-Voted All Time Top 10. (Click HERE to see which dances made the list)

“He had two dances in the top 10 and that just stoked my fire because I want to turn the heat on now,” she said. “I want my team to beat his.”
