Stamps Honoring Nicole Kidman & Russell Crowe Unveiled In Australia

The stamps honoring Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe have been unveiled in the stars’ homeland.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Nicole, Russell, Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush are being honored with stamps in Australia, celebrating the work of the Oscar winners.

“Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman… and Geoffrey Rush are already household names. The stamps will be a constant reminder of the indelible mark they have made on Australia’s identity and culture,” Graeme John, Australia Post Managing Director, said in a statement.

The stamps feature each of the four stars in a portrait, and one featuring a scene from one of their most memorable roles. Each stamp is worth 55 Australian cents, which works out to 39 cents American.

“I have a vested interest in Australia,” Nicole told the Sydney Morning Herald in response to the honor. “I want my children to live here at certain times of their life and see how wonderful it is. It would be lovely for them to lick a stamp, put it on an envelope and say ‘that’s my mum’.”

The special postage stamps are being issued as part of Australia Day, January 26, according to the newspaper.
