‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Cast Announced!

The cast for “Star Wars: Episode VII” has finally been revealed!

“Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film,” Disney announced on the “Star Wars” Facebook page on Tuesday.

Director J.J. Abrams revealed that shooting on the highly anticipated movie will begin shortly.

“We are so excited to finally share the cast of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud,” the director said.

John Boyega is best known for “Attack the Block,” Daisy Ridley has been seen on British TV’s “Mr. Selfridge,” Adam Driver stars on HBO’s “Girls,” Oscar Isaac was nominated for a Golden Globe for “Inside Llewyn Davis,” Andy Serkis has appeared in numerous films including “The Lord of The Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogies, Domhnall Gleeson starred in “About Time” and Max von Sydow starred in“Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.”

“Star Wars: Episode VII” will blast into theaters on December 18, 2015.
