Stars React To The Death Of Debbie Reynolds

Celebs turned to social media to share their sadness over the death of Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds, who died on Wednesday at the age of 84, just one day after the death of her beloved daughter, Carrie Fisher.

“Debbie Reynolds was one of the last of Hollywood Royalty. It breaks my heart that she is gone. I’d hoped that my grieving was done for 2016,” William Shatner tweeted.

“I can’t imagine what Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds’ family are going through this week. I send all of my love,” Ellen DeGeneres tweeted.

“So heartsick. Debbie went to be with Carrie. It’s such a devastating 1,2 punch. She was my “mom” for years & I loved her dearly.A legend,” Debra Messing tweeted. (Debbie played her mom, Bobbi Adler, on “Will & Grace.”)

Albert Brooks, who played Debbie’s son in the film “Mother,” tweeted, “Debbie Reynolds, a legend and my movie mom. I can’t believe this happened one day after Carrie. My heart goes out to Billie.”

“Will & Grace” star Sean Hayes posted a photo showing him laughing with Debbie on a set. 

“It is beyond astonishing that both @carrieffisher & @DebbieReynolds1 have left this earth. I overwhelmingly adored & admired them both,” he tweeted.

Ariana Grande, who co-starred with Debbie’s granddaughter, Billie Lourd, in “Scream Queens” Season 1 tweeted, “i love you billie. so so much. rest in peace, debbie reynolds.” 

Joan Collins tweeted, “Truly heartbroken to hear @DebbieReynolds1 has died. She was a wonderfully warm friend and colleague. Praying for Todd & Billie. #RIPDebbie.”

“Some of the magic people have left the tribe…for the moment I am inconsolable…,” Joely Fisher, daughter of Eddie Fisher and Connie Stevens, and half-sister of Carrie Fisher, tweeted.

Selma Blair tweeted, “There are so many things Carrie would have to say about this. But I am sure they are holding each other right now. Sail on silver girls.”
