Stars Tweet Over USA World Cup Loss

Team USA fell 2-1 in a nail-biter match against Ghana at the World Cup on Saturday, prompting strong words from Hollywood as the team exited the tournament.

“So proud of our US Soccer team. Don’t worry boys, we’ll get ‘em next year…I mean…in 4 years…wow…this sucks,” “Chuck” star Zachary Levi Tweeted.

However, others appeared more grateful for the team’s run, which found them beating Algeria and earning ties with Slovenia and England – enough for the team to win first place in its first-round group for the first time in decades.

“It’s always fun to dream. Thank u USA soccer for the thrills!” Ashton Kutcher Tweeted.

“We’re still very proud of you team #usa!” Ryan Seacrest added. “You guys really showed us what the #worldcup’s all about…thank u.”

During the game, stars cheered the team on via Twitter.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! SO EXCITED FOR THAT GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!!! #World Cup #USA,” Paula Abdul Tweeted after Landon Donovan scored on a penalty kick to even the match at 1-1.

“My heart is going crazy,” “Dancing with the Stars” pro Tony Dovolani Tweeted, with “Saturday Night Live’s” Seth Meyers encouraging, “Game on!!!!”
