Stephen Amell To Be Honored At CinemaCon

Stephen
Amell is set to receive a new honor.

The actor,
who stars in The CW’s “Arrow,” and is next up on the big screen in
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” is receiving the
CinemaCon Male Star of Tomorrow Award.

“Already
making his mark on the small screen Stephen Amell is poised to break out this
summer on the big screen with his starring role in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles: Out of the Shadows,’” Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon,
said in a statement. “We are excited to honor this exciting up-and-coming actor
with this year’s Male Star of Tomorrow Award.”

CinemaCon,
the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO)
will be held April 11-14, 2016 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The CinemaCon
Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony takes place on April 14 at The Colosseum
at Caesars Palace.

The CW
recently picked up “Arrow” for a fifth season. “Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” which sees Stephen playing Casey
Jones, hits theaters on June 3, 2016.

“Pete’s
Dragon” star Bryce Dallas Howard is also being honored at the event.
She’ll be presented with the CInemaCon Award for Excellence in Acting.
