Stevie Nicks Celebrates Rolling Stone Return With Exclusive ‘Gypsy’ Performance

Nothing’s off the record when Stevie Nicks appears on the new issue of Rolling Stone.

The famous Fleetwood Mac star first appeared solo on the cover back in 1981, promoting her solo disc at the time, “Bella Donna .”

Now, all these years later, Stevie is back gracing the mag’s cover, as she talks about her still volatile relationship with Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham, and how their plans to retire to an old folks’ home together have been dashed.

“Relations with Lindsey are exactly as they have been since we broke up,” the rock icon told the mag. “He and I will always be antagonizing to each other, and we will always do things that will irritate each other, and we really know how to push each other’s buttons. We know exactly what to say when we really want to throw a dagger in. And I think that that’s not different now than it was when we were 20. And I don’t think it will be different when we’re 80.”

Tied to her interview, and to celebrate her return to the Rolling Stone cover after 34 years, Stevie also performed an acoustic version of the Fleetwood Mac smash hit, “Gypsy.”

Stevie’s nine-page Rolling Stone spread hits newsstands on Friday.
