‘Survivor’ Jeff Probst To Become A Talk Show King?

Oprah Winfrey may have left daytime TV, but could Jeff Probst be the “Survivor” who takes over as talk show host king?

Probst is getting his own talk show for CBS Television Distribution, set to start in fall of next year, it was announced on Monday.

“I’m fascinated with human nature and thrilled that this show will allow me the opportunity to connect with real people and explore their stories on a personal level,” Probst said in a statement.

The show will see the “Survivor” host interviewing newsworthy people, while keeping up his other job – as the host and an executive producer of the highly successful CBS adventure reality competition, now entering its 23rd season.

Probst joins a host of names who are entering the talk show fray following the exit of Oprah.

Rosie O’Donnell has a daytime talk show coming to the Oprah Winfrey Network this fall. Meanwhile, Katie Couric starts her new talk show for ABC in fall 2012.
