Taylor Lautner To Team Up With Gus Van Sant

Taylor Lautner is going indie.

The actor is set to team up with Gus Van Sant, the acclaimed indie director behind Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Oscar-winning “Good Will Hunting,” as well as more recently, Sean Penn’s “Milk,” for an undisclosed project, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The collaboration is expected to be officially announced later this week, but according to the trade mag, the film will be based on a nonfiction piece Taylor optioned, that originally ran in The New Yorker magazine.

In the meantime, Taylor has a busy few days ahead.

On Thursday, the actor will put his handprints in the famed ground in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Hollywood Boulevard alongside his “Twilight” cast mates Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
