Teresa Giudice: Andy Cohen Says Reality Star Is Taking Prison Sentence ‘Really Seriously’

Bravo’s Andy Cohen landed the first interview with “The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s” Teresa Giudice after she was sentenced to 15 months behind bars for conspiracy and bankruptcy charges – and he spoke to Access Hollywood about the gripping sit-down with the reality star and husband Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice, who received 41 months jail time.

“It was emotional, intense, unsettling and it was raw. They were very raw, it was a day after the sentencing,” the “Watch What Happens Live” host told Access about his interview with the soon-to-be jailed “Housewives” stars.

Despite reports that suggest that Teresa is in denial about how her life is about to change in many major ways, Andy told Access otherwise.

“She seemed like she was really ready to do what she has to do, that was the impression that I got,” he told Access. “She seems to be taking this really seriously.”

Andy also spoke about how he perceived the couple’s interactions and body language during their chat. Joe held Teresa’s hand throughout the first part of the “WWHL” interview, which aired on Monday.

“It’s clear they they’re really supporting each other and standing up for each other… they’re going through this together,” he told Access.

Teresa, who famously flipped a table on her co-stars during “RHONJ” Season 1, is ordered to surrender on January 5, 2015. Joe will begin serving his sentence after his wife, so that a parent will be able to remain with their four daughters.

Teresa and Joe’s second “Watch What Happens Live” interview airs on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 9 PM on Bravo.
