Tessanne Chin On What’s Next After The Voice Win & Advice From Adam Levine

Tessanne Chin was crowned the winner of “The Voice” on Tuesday.

The singer stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Thursday, where she dished on what’s next and if she’s considering moving to Hollywood.

“Definitely. Definitely big decisions. We’ll see,” Tessanne told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, when asked if she’s going to move to Hollywood. “I think we have one foot here and one foot [in Jamaica]. And I’m just, I’m open.

“My heart is open and ready to receive anything that is going to happen,” she continued. “So I’m looking forward to being able to record an album and recording an album with people like Ryan Tedder. I look up to him so much.”

The 28-year-old singer shared advice she received from coach Adam Levine.

“He said don’t think about winning. He said just think about going out there and creating a moment. And I think that’s the best thing he could have said to me because all I know how to do is perform,” she said. “I don’t know how to compete. And if I ever thought about it as a competition I think that would have kinda gotten in my head a little bit. So, I just wanted to go out there and perform and leave people with something to remember.”

And Tessanne’s friendship with Adam wasn’t just for the cameras.

“He is just a great guy,” she said of the Maroon 5 frontman. “He took care of us, and he invested, and he dedicated himself to the cause – not just on camera. There were many times off camera that we would be sitting down trying to figure out songs. And we would not leave until we were all happy.”
