The Biggest Loser Recap: ‘Pay It Forward’

Week four of “The Biggest Loser” started off with a twist that had contestants shaking in their workout gear.

“Three people are leaving,” host Alison Sweeney told the teams.

Nerves were quelled when she revealed that trainers Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper, and Dolvett Quince would be traveling to the hometowns of “Biggest Loser” kids Sunny, Biingo, and Lindsay. The groups were put in charge of their own workouts and regimens for the week.

Before heading off to visit the young contestants, the trainers met with their groups to lay out workout strategies while they are away.

Jillian was rattled about her absence, saying, “There’s nobody to crack the whip when the trainers are gone,” but conceded that the kids need their help too.

First up, Bob visited Biingo and is happy to find out that Biingo’s mom has been following her son’s program and already shed 27 lbs. Biingo on the other hand has been having trouble adjusting to his new school and has put on weight. Bob surprised him with a trip to a local minor league baseball team, where he and Bob covered the importance of staying active.

Jillian met up with Sunny and her family. Sunny revealed that the pressures of school and her advanced classes have led to stress eating. With the help of Jillian, Sunny has a family meeting, where she told her parents that their dream of her becoming a doctor is weighing too much on her. Jillian shakes up her routine with a training session with a local college rowing crew.

“Just because I don’t become that doctor doesn’t mean I’m not somebody my parents can be proud of,” Sunny explained. “I’m excited to tell people that maybe I’m not who you think I am.”

Dolvett visited Lindsay, who was getting help from her sister and mom with her workouts. Lindsay chatted about the pain of being bullied after revealing she wants to a cheerleader. Dolvett surprised Lindsay by bringing in the cheer squad to help raise her spirits.

Back with the teams, the contestants are given their challenge for the episode. They will be running a 5K to benefit the Boys and Girls Club, (the winning team will get $15,000, Second place gets $5,000 and third place gets $2,500).

Danni came in first, with Joe close behind in second and Pam in third. White team won first place for $15,000, Red gets second place and Blue comes in third.

The trainers returned for the team’s Last Chance Workout with Dolvett and Jillian appearing to be pleased with their team’s progress, but Bob was stressed.

“I’ve got a really bad feeling,” he said of the impending weigh-in.

During the weigh-in, Blue went first with Michael, who lost 12 lbs., David burned 9 lbs., Alex dropped 4 lbs., Gina had an impressive 9 lbs. and Jeff with 6 lbs. – for a team total of 40 lbs.

Red weighed in next with Joe dropping 7 lbs., Francelina lost 6 lbs., Lisa knocked off 9 lbs. and Jackson with a whopping 12 lbs. — for a team total of 34 lbs.

White – with only two members left on the team – weighed in last with Danni losing 6 lbs. and Pam only losing 3 lbs.

Pam is sent home and now White only has one member left.

During the Check In, Pam reveals that she had lost a total of 55 lbs. since coming to the ranch and even gives herself her own makeover.
