The Carrie Diaries Heads To Prom For Season 1 Finale

The Season finale of “The Carrie Diaries” kicks off tonight at 8/7c on The CW, but after her big breakup last week, Carrie Bradshaw may not have a date for the prom.

“It’s a few weeks later,” showrunner Amy B. Harris told reporters at a recent screening of when the season finale is set. “That’s a big debate — what will happen with her and prom!”

Harris said the prom – which will feature poofy fashions for at least some of the characters — will offer some unexpected drama.

“The prom is going to be surprising… for a lot of people. The prom might not be such a — it may not actually be prom for a lot of people,” she said.

While Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) and Sebastian (Austin Butler) split at the end of last week’s Madonna themed tour party episode, the young man still has feelings for his ex.

Asked why Sebastian is so fascinated by Carrie, Austin said it is because she’s not like other girls.

“I think it’s because she’s so different,” he said.

“She thinks about things in a different way than most girls in high school do. She understands things on a deeper level. It’s a more vulnerable place to have that deeper connection with a person,” he added.

“The Carrie Diaries” Season 1 finale airs tonight at 8/7c on The CW.
