‘The Flash’: Tom Cavanagh On Reverse Flash Suit; Cast, EP Preview What’s Next

Tom Cavanagh’s Reverse Flash suit made headlines last week, and the actor said he was “honored” to put the yellow armor on.

On the purple carpet at the PaleyFest Los Angeles event for “The Flash” over the weekend, Tom told Access Hollywood that the experiences of other actors in The CW’s DC Universe shows — Stephen Amell on “Arrow,” and Grant Gustin, who stars as “The Flash” — made his own experience easier.

“I benefited from all the trial and error that went into that. … I think they did a marvelous job with the suit,” he said of his costume. “I’m always very flattered and honored to put it on.”

The CW has been teasing Team Flash drama related to Tom’s character, Harrison Wells, and Reverse Flash. On the purple PaleyFest carpet, Executive Producer Greg Berlanti said that the next run of episodes will address those topics.

“We always promised everybody at the beginning of the year that we would wrap up that story and we would get to it. These are the episodes where we start to do that, so we’re so grateful for everyone’s patience as we doled out pieces of information and hoping that we did it in the right way and so now, we’ll see what happens,” the EP told Access.

Dr. Caitlin Snow appears to be one of the characters in for a shock on the next episode of The CW series. In the trailer for “The Flash,” she’s shown looking stunned as she spots Wells’ empty wheelchair at Jitters.

“An empty wheelchair with empty glasses, and it’s such a shocking moment because she never expected that,” Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin, Wells’ S.T.A.R. Labs employee and associate, said.

As fans know, “The Flash” doesn’t just offer one or two twists a week. And, the supercharged show has more on the way.

“What’s really interesting is [in] our next episode we’re going to start playing with time travel a little bit,” Danielle told Access.

Grant hinted that the time travel plot line will lead to another surprise.

“The biggest twist of the season comes along with the time travel storyline and what that is has not been revealed yet,” he said.

“The Flash” returns Tuesday at 8/7c on The CW.
