The Jonas Brothers Talk Celebrity Crushes, Romance Rumors

The Jonas Brothers are quickly becoming old pros at dealing with the attention that comes with pop superstardom.

Of course with the fame, come the headlines in the tabloids. And when it comes to Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, the popular topic of discussion has been their love lives.

But the boys are taking it all in stride.

“I get it,” 18-year-old Joe said in a new interview with Rolling Stone. “When I was young, I wanted to know what my favorite bands were up to all the time. And it’s funny when there’s a rumor. It’s funny when you find out there are other celebrities with crushes on you, like when I read that Lauren Conrad from ‘The Hills’ liked me.”

But LC isn’t the only starlet mentioned when discussing Joe’s love life. Lately, Joe has been fending off the rumors (albeit with a smile) that he’s dating country cutie Taylor Swift, who appears in the band’s upcoming 3-D movie.

Even big brother Kevin, 20, has been the target of paparazzi while out boating with a brunette in Miami.

But it’s been the youngest brother – 15-year-old Joe – who has found himself perhaps the most popular headline recently, with reports linking him to fellow Disney tween sensation Selena Gomez.

And while the teen stars have kept quiet on the subject, earlier this week, a source reportedly confirmed to People that Nick and Selena, 16, are very much an item.

“They’ve been dating for months,” the source claimed.

However, a rep for the Jonas Brothers continues to insist there is no romance there.

“They are not girlfriend and boyfriend. They’re friends. All of the Jonas Brothers are friends with Selena,” the rep told People.

Then of course there were the long-running reports of a romance between Nick and Miley Cyrus.

“There was a point in our lives when we were very close,” Nick told Rolling Stone of the Miley rumors. “We were neighbors when we were on tour together. It was good. Just really close. But it would crack me up — I would read these stories online, people saying things that were completely untrue.”

But Selena and Miley aren’t the only celebs to be mentioned when it comes to having eyes for Nick.

“The Kim Kardashian rumor [about me] was hilarious,” Nick added. “I was honored, but I was like, ‘Reggie Bush would kill me!’”

Oh, and one last rumor the boys would like to put to rest – yes, they really are brothers.

“People seriously ask us all the time,” Kevin said. “‘Are you guys really brothers?’”

“It’s like, no, we named our band Jonas Brothers just for fun,” Joe laughed.
