‘The Social Network’s’ Armie Hammer Cast As Prince In Relativity’s Upcoming Snow White Project

Talk about typecasting!

“The Social Network” hunk Armie Hammer – who played Harvard’s Winklevoss twins in the box office hit — has signed on to play charming Prince Andrew Alcott in Relativity Media’s upcoming untitled Snow White film, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The handsome blond actor, 24, will join Academy Award winner Julia Roberts, who has been cast as the evil Queen, a rep for Relativity told Access on Saturday.

While an actress for the title role has yet to be determined, “Atonement” star Saoirse Ronan is being considered to play the porcelain-faced heroine, according to Deadline, which was first to report the casting news.

Pre-production on the fairy tale reboot has reportedly begun, with principal photography scheduled to start in May.

Armie is currently filming Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar Hoover biopic, “J. Edgar,” alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Naomi Watts

The as-of-yet untitled Snow White feature is slated for release on June 29, 2012.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the story of Snow White will engage in a box office battle as Universal plans to release another version of the fairy tale, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” on December 21, 2012.

With British director Rupert Sanders at the helm, “Huntsman” will star “Twilight” beauty Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the evil Queen.
