The Stars’ Secret To Building A Super-Toned Body! (Healthy Hollywood)

Awww, celebrities, they’ve got a team of trainers and nutritionists at their ready to cater to their every look-good need.

Yet, surprisingly, one of the stars’ favorite workouts is something any of us can do at home and it’s actually affordable — get ripped with the TRX Suspension Trainer.

“The TRX Suspension Trainer is a training and fitness tool that leverages the user’s body weight for resistance. Developed by a Navy Seal as a portable fitness system, it can go anywhere and develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously,” explains TRX Master Trainer Dan McDonogh.

Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Victoria’s Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio and Bar Refaeli, along with the tennis superstar Maria Sharapova, all rely on this body weight exercise to get in the most awesome shape.

Healthy Hollywood first noticed the TRX training system at my gym. I noticed these long yellow and black straps hanging from the overhead bars and the most toned women and men were using them. It not only looked fun but obviously these hard-bodied gym rats were doing something right. So, I became intrigued and I had to find out more.

First, I was happy to find out it cost around $200 and could be used in place of most gym equipment. And, according to McDonogh, you don’t have to be an athlete, a celebrity or even super-fit to give TRX a go. “It works for any fitness level. This is because the user can adjust the difficulty of each to meet their needs by simply adjusting their body position.”

So, put down the old-school weights, TRX delivers a total body workout and there are over 300 possible exercise combinations and you can pretty much take it anywhere. “It can anchor to a door, a tree, a pole, a fence, a squat rack…basically, the possibilities are endless,” adds McDonogh.

Possibly the best news of all is that you will get results fast. “20 – 30 minutes 3 times a week is great way to start off training with the TRX. The TRX Home Suspension trainer includes 6 digital workouts in 15 and 30 minute modules that you can follow along with. Most people will feel sore “in all the right places” the next day after their first TRX workout,” promises McDonogh.
