The Voice’s Blake Shelton Hoping To Keep Winning ‘From Here On Out’

Blake Shelton has taken three contestants to the top on “The Voice,” and he’d like that streak to continue.

Asked if he was “sick and tired of winning” by Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle, Blake said, “I am not. I am OK with winning from here on out, honestly.”

He may be happy winning, but his fellow coaches — Adam Levine, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera — most certainly are not (in Blake’s opinion) happy about his streak. (Blake won Season 2 with Jermaine Paul, Season 3 with Cassadee Pope and Season 4 with Danielle Bradbery.)

“They are truly — I’m telling you from the bottom of my heart — and I am speaking for them, they are truly sick of me winning,” he told Michelle. “It’s like, it’s not funny anymore. It’s not like we win a bonus or anything, they are just truly sick and tired of me winning the show.”

Michelle asked Blake if he wishes “The Voice” were more challenging as he marches his contestants to the top, and in responding, Blake jokingly tossed out some fighting words.

“It would be. If I thought they were better coaches it would be more fun for me, like as a challenge,” he said.

Blake is definitely outspoken, and he’s proud to be bringing in Cher this season as his contestants’ guest mentor, a woman equally as unabashed.

“I love her,” Blake said. “She is just as outspoken as I am, and it’s like once we kind of figured out where each other stood, man, it was like, it was so much fun. I mean she is exactly the person that you hope and think she is going to be. She is amazing. She really got into it. There was some cussing from… her, and me.”

“The Voice” continues on Monday night at 8/7c on NBC, and again on Tuesday at 8/7c.
