The Voice’s Juhi Pathak ‘Beyond Ecstatic’ About Being Stolen By Coach Adam Levine

When 16-year-old Juhi Pathak lost her battle on “The Voice” last night to Team CeeLo teammate George Horga Jr., she thought that was the end of her musical journey on the show. That is until coach Adam Levine swooped in for the steal.

“I was just so overwhelmed,” the high school student told reporters on a recent conference call about having Adam push his button for her. “I think it’s great because going into the blinds I was like ‘OK, I either want CeeLo or Adam’ and I ended up getting both. So that was a pretty good package for me!”

Juhi admits though, that she was a little shell shocked when it all went down.

“I don’t remember actually saying anything. I think I just made like a really puppy dog face,” she laughed.

As she prepares for the knockout rounds and future potential live shows, getting the chance to learn from Adam has been different than her time with CeeLo.

“That’s the great part about working with different coaches is they all have different styles,” she said. “They pick out certain things that the other coach wouldn’t be able to pick out. It’s definitely like a great learning experience.”

However, when she returned home to her Franklin, Tenn., high school recently it wasn’t Adam or CeeLo her friends were dying to hear about from her.

“The first thing that my friends ask me was, ‘What was it like working with Blake Shelton?’ They were all excited about that,” she laughed.

Well, she is right outside Nashville! What do you expect?

“The Voice” airs Monday at 8 PM ET/PT and Tuesday 9 PM ET/PT on NBC.
