The Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero On Season 4: It Will ‘Be Our Best Yet’

“The Walking Dead” has dropped a brand new “in production” video for the upcoming Season 4, and according to one of the show’s executive producers – zombie special effects guru Greg Nicotero – things are shaping up nicely.

“I think Season 4 is gonna be our best yet,” he said in this clip, here, posted on the AMC website on Friday.

Greg is directing the Season 4 premiere, but he and his fellow EPs revealed that when they called him on the phone to ask him to do the honors, silence followed because the call dropped while he was in an elevator.

“I missed this fantastic moment by getting dropped off a call and then they all literally thought maybe I didn’t want to do it because I didn’t answer,” he said.

New Season 4 showrunner, Scott M. Gimple wrote the Season 4 premiere. He previously wrote Season 3’s “Clear” episode where Rick finally saw Morgan again, the man who saved his life in Season 1.
