“Divergent” – the new movie based on the best-selling novel by Veronica Roth – hits theaters today and audiences will soon get a large dose of Theo James, whose star is surely on the rise!
Here are 5 things you need to know about the hunky actor:
He’s Got “Downton Abbey” Connections: Remember Lady Mary’s ill-fated first love? The Turkish diplomat who died after sleeping with Lord Grantham’s daughter? Yep, that was Theo.
He’s Taken: Sorry, ladies – Theo is not single. The 29-year-old actor is dating actress Ruth Kearney. The couple stepped out together in January 2012, at the premiere of “Underworld Awakening” (he played David in the movie).
He’s English: Theo was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, and his birth name is Theo Taptiklis.
He’s A Musician: Theo can rock! The actor used to sing and play guitar for a Shere Khan, a now-dismantled London-based band.
He’s Not Going Anywhere Anytime Soon…: In addition to the two “Divergent” sequels (“Insurgent,” and “Allegiant”), due out in 2015 and 2016, respectively, he’ll be seen in “Franny,” alongside Dakota Fanning and Richard Gere, later this year.
