Tom On The Hot Seat

Full disclosure ? almost! Tom Cruise continues his tour of candor, saying he knew Katie Holmes was pregnant even before she did!

“I just picked something up and I knew at that moment she was pregnant,” Tom told GQ magazine. “Because I notice things in people.”

I asked Tom if they were going to have the baby in a hospital, and he said they weren’t sure yet, it could be at home, GQ writer Lucy Kaylin told Access.

Kaylin also talked to Tom about the infamous sonogram machine he bought to use on his pregnant bride-to-be.

“He just loved it,” Kaylin told us. “I mean, he took tons of pictures, apparently, although it didn’t exceed regulations, he says.”

And after joking that his child and Brad and Angelina’s baby could get together for playdates, Tom told GQ:

“I am really happy for them. He’s a good guy, Brad.”

“Tom did talk about sex and the idea that it’s only good, for him, when you know he’s in a really intimate, committed, close relationship,’ Kaylin told us.

Diane Sawyer will take on Tom in an upcoming interview, and even though Tom gave GQ a strait up “I’m not commenting” on whether he called Nicole with news of Katie?s pregnancy, he didn’t hold back during our interview last year.

“Is or was Nicole ever a scientologist?” Billy Bush asked.

“No,” Tom told us.

“Is that part of the reason why you are no longer together? Because you are raising the children,” Billy asked.

“No,” Tom said. “With my children, like anything I believe, it is their choice, and what they want to do, and they are scientologists.”

“They are?” Billy asked.

“Oh, yeah,” Tom said.

“And is Nicole fine with that, she is the other half,” Billy asked.

“Oh, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely,” Tom said.

But when Kaylin attempted to delve into the more “sci-fi” aspects of Scientology ? asking about the warlord Xenu ? Tom got angry, saying:

“You say this stuff to me, and it’s insulting.”

In our earlier interview, Tom told Billy a little more:

“I don’t live my life based on what other people think I should do OK, he said. I don’t care what people say. I know what Scientology is.”

“It works for you,” Billy said.

“Billy, let me just tell you,” Tom said. “It is extraordinary what it has done.”
