Trisha Yearwood is set to play the mother of Jesus in “The Passion” on Fox.
“The Passion” is a two-hour musical event coming to Fox, telling “the last hours of Jesus Christ’s life on earth through a variety of popular music,” according to the network.
It was also announced on Friday at Fox’s portion of the Television Critics Association that Prince Royce will play Jesus’ disciple, Peter.

Tyler Perry is the program’s host and narrator.
“The Passion” will air Sunday, March 20 on Fox.
