Trista Sutter Talks ‘Less Glamorous’ Vow Renewal, Explains Joining Marriage Boot Camp

Trista Sutter and husband Ryan Sutter are still going strong, 10 years after meeting on “The Bachelorette” and tying the knot.

The couple got married in December 2003 and renewed their vows just days ago, and the reality star dished on how the renewal differed from her wedding when she stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday.

“There were no helicopters [this time],” Trista – whose book, “Happily Ever After” is available now – told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover with a laugh. “It was a lot less glamorous, if you will.

“Everyone thinks of us as having a fairytale – you know, we had 30,000 roses or something crazy like at our wedding, and 26 million people watching,” she continued. “It was a lot more intimate.”

The couple, who have two children, will appear Season 2 of WeTV’s “Marriage Boot Camp.” However, Trista was quick to explain that their decision to join the show does not mean they are having insurmountable problems.

“We want to show people that how long you’ve been married, no matter how happy you are – because Ryan and I are the happiest we’ve ever been, truly – you have to work on your marriage,” she said. “You have to put effort in. So what is the problem with actually working on it?

“There’s nothing wrong – we just want to be better,” she added.
