‘True Blood’ Adds Three New Season 4 Female Actors; Promotes Jessica Tuck To Series Regular

“True Blood’s” fictional town of Bon Temps has three new women coming to town – and co-star Jessica Tuck has been promoted to series regular.

The hit HBO series is adding Janina Gavankar (“The Gates,” “The L Word”), Alexandra Breckenridge (“Dirt,” “Life Unexpected”) and Vedette Lim (“As the World Turns”) to its lineup, a rep for HBO confirmed to AccessHollywood.com.

According to Michael Ausiello – who first reported the castings for Deadline.com – Janina will play a “super-sexy public school teacher and shapeshifter,” Alexandra will star as “a member of a wiccan group” and Vedette has been cast as a “a fierce fighter who participates in underground cage matches for money.”

Additionally, Jessica Tuck, who has played the American Vampire League’s Nan Flanagan since Season 1, has been promoted to a full-fledged series regular.

“True Blood” Season 4 is slated to premiere on HBO in summer 2011.
