Rob Kazinsky, who plays “True Blood’s” resident faerie/vampire Warlow, is anxious about how fans are going to react to the show’s Season 6 finale, airing on Sunday.
“I’m nervous,” Rob told Kit Hoover and guest co-host Alfonso Ribeiro on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live, when asked if he was excited for fans to see the showdown. “There’s a lot happening this Sunday, especially with Warlow and Sookie.”
And the action will be even more surprising/provoking than Warlow and Sookie’s [Anna Paquin] infamous faerie-world cemetery romp.
“It’s lot worse than that. There’s a lot of scary things that have to happen this Sunday to tee us up for next season,” Rob explained. “It’s been a fairly action-packed season – we’ve already lost a lot of characters and we’ve seen a lot of gore. There’s been a lot of crazy stuff and we have one more episode to finish everything off and I think it’s the most action-packed episode of the season.”
Fans may want to keep one of Lafayette’s hankies nearby to dry their eyes during the finale, as Rob said the show will lose more than one character on Sunday (after already having lost Todd Lowe’s Terry Bellefleur and Michael McMillian’s Steve Newlin this season).
“[The finale has] action, sex, flying, death, biting, blood. It has multiple deaths!” he told AccessHollywood.com prior to his AH Live interview on Wednesday. “It has everything you could want.”
Speaking with Kit and Alfonso, the actor – who seems to always appear shirtless on the HBO series, said he had a major case of butterflies when it came time to film his first sex scenes with Anna.
“I was incredibly nervous. I’d never done nudity of any shape or form before,” he said. “It’s not a comfortable thing to have to do, but Anna was just like, ‘Well, if I’m doing it, you’re doing it.’”
And the presence of Anna’s husband (“True Blood” co-star Steven Moyer) didn’t make shooting the sexy scene any easier.
“There’s nothing sexy about sex scenes… you’re so worried about angles and holding in your gut,” he said. “And I wouldn’t want to mess with Steve!”
Rob said he’s beginning to get a little more used to them as the season progresses and he gets down and dirty with more and more characters.
“I did [sex scenes] with Ryan Kwanten, I had a kind of quasi one with Steve Moyer – I’m working my way through the entire cast!” he joked.
The “True Blood” Season 6 finale airs Sunday at 9 PM on HBO.
