‘Twilight’ Sequels In The Works

With the much-anticipated “Twilight” due in theaters on November 21, Summit Entertainment is already paving the way for sequels to the vampire film.

The studio has snapped up the rights to the remaining three novels in the popular Stephenie Meyer series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote the “Twilight” script, has reportedly been tapped to adapt “New Moon” and “Eclipse,” the next installments in the series, with no writer yet announced for the fourth book, “Breaking Dawn.”

The series follows star-crossed lovers Bella and Edward, a human and a vampire who pursue a relationship against all odds. Fans have already been going wild for the first film and its young stars.

“It’s a very passionate book so it makes sense that the audience would be as hardcore,” Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, told Access Hollywood recently. “They’re already going crazy over the hot vampires.”
