Film fans raised a few eyebrows and their voices when it was announced that Kim Kardashian had landed a role in Tyler Perry’s upcoming project “The Marriage Counselor,” but the writer/director is standing by his casting choice and showering the bombshell with praise.
“I wrote a role especially for her. It’s a small role that she does a great job with. And I’m excited about it,” Tyler told Access Hollywood over the weekend at the junket for his latest movie “Good Deeds.”
“I think it was a great experience for her and I think she was definitely supposed to be there,” he continued.
But does the media mogul see a blossoming big screen acting career ahead for Kim?
“It depends on the role and the amount of work that she’s willing to put into it,” Tyler told Access.
Adding, “She certainly has what it takes to make it happen.”
“Good Deeds,” which Tyler is also starring in – along with Gabrielle Union, Thandie Newton, Rebecca Romijn and Eddie Cibrian – opens on February 24.
