Unlike Mom Madonna, Lourdes Doesn’t Have Blonde Ambition

Madonna has changed her look – including the color of her hair – countless times, but when it comes to her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes, there won’t be any hitting of the dye bottle – at least not just yet.

Access Hollywood caught up with the icon and her daughter at the launch of their fashion line, Material Girl, in New York City on Wednesday, where Lola gave us an update on their hair coloring battle.

“It’s definitely still the goal,” Lola said. “She doesn’t really want me to, but…”

“Because once you start dying your hair, that’s it. You just keep dying it and you ruin your hair, ” Madonna interjected.

As for Lola’s preferred new color, she said she’s not following in her mom’s footsteps.

“I don’t think I’m going to go blonde. I think a darker color, or like a really dark, dark red,” she explained, addiing that – like her mom – she tends to be very headstrong. “I’m annoying sometimes, it’s definitely true!”

Despite their differences in the hair color department, Madonna beamed when asked about collaborating with her daughter on their new collection.

“I’m very proud,” Madonna added.
