Val Chmerkovskiy Has High Expectations For DWTS: All-Stars Partner After Sherri Shepherd

Val Chmerkovskiy will take to the dance floor for a third season come September, as one of the “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” professionals, but he’s not sure any of the returning celebrities can live up to the high bar set by his most recent partner, the bubbly Sherri Shepherd.

“I don’t know if anybody could follow Sherri up there,” the “DWTS” hunk told Kit Hoover and guest co-host Shaun Robinson on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live. “We have a very special bond. I love Sherri Shepherd.

“We’re still friends,” he added. “We still dance together once in a while.”

The 26-year-old dancer remained tight-lipped when asked who he’d like to be partnered with for Season 15, adding that he was “warned several times not to speculate on things,” but said he doesn’t care who he’s paired with as long as he’s back on the hit ABC show.

“I’m just glad to be on the show, I’m very grateful for everything the show has given me in the last year — so many opportunities,” he said. “I meet amazing people, I get to do what I love. So, honestly, I’m just glad they chose me to be back.”

“Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” premieres on September 24 at 8/7c on ABC.
