Van Burglars Waltz Away With ‘DWTS’ Celebs’ Belongings

Thieves waltzed away with thousands of dollars of personal electronics from “Dancing With the Stars’” cast members on Saturday, Twin Cities TV station KSTP-TV reported.

According to the station, Roseville police revealed that $12,240 worth of items including laptops, iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, and GPS units were stolen from a van belonging to Derek Hough, one of the professional dancers from the hit ABC show.

Hough’s pal, professional Mark Ballas, and last season’s champ, Kristi Yamaguchi also had property stolen.

“I feel so bad,” Kristi told the station. “These guys came in for a good cause to help out and it’s not starting out so good.”

Kristi and the dancers were in town to participate in a charity event to raise money in the fight against cancer. Hough and Ballas were also scheduled to play with their band, Almost Amy.

The robbery occurred while the dancers were enjoying a meal at Outback Steakhouse.

Roseville police told the station that another SUV had been broken into outside the restaurant the same evening.

Other items stolen from the “DWTS” members included passports, diaries and photos from the show’s tour.

“It’s more emotional because there are so many memories,” Kristi told the station.

Almost Amy is offering a $5,000 reward for information that could lead to the items’ return.
