Victoria ‘Posh’ Beckham Signs Reality TV Deal

LOS ANGELES (February 28, 2007) — Victoria Beckham has signed her ?Posh? scrawl to a deal with NBC for a new reality show.Produced by Simon Fuller?s 19 Entertainment, the new series will offer a look inside the life of the former Spice Girl as she moves from London to LA. In addition to producing “American Idol,” Fuller previously managed Beckham’s musical outfit the Spice Girls and her solo career. “I am so excited to be making this show for NBC with Simon Fuller. He has so much success around the world with his TV shows and the respect and trust of everybody he works with,? Beckham said in a statement. ?This show is really something different, it’s pushing the boundaries and I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people.”Six half-hour episodes are being filmed for the series, set to air this summer. Victoria?s husband, soccer star David, will also make his debut on the U.S. pitch as a member of the LA Galaxy this summer as well.Victoria is no stranger to reality television. ?The Real Beckhams,? which aired on British screens several years ago, chronicled the Beckham family as David signed with Real Madrid and the family left Britain for Spain. While David?s deal with LA Galaxy is a $250 million, Access has learned Victoria?s reality TV show deal is no small change, clocking in at a reported $19 million.
