Vivica Gets The ‘Dancing’ Boot

LOS ANGELES (October 5, 2006) — It’s now down to seven as Vivica A. Fox and her partner Nick Kosovich got the boot from Wednesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.”

“I don’t feel sad at all,” Vivica told Access Hollywood’s Tony Pottsafter the show. “It’s been a wonderful experience. It’s been a blessing. It was wonderful exposure. I got in shape. I lost weight. I made new friends and I learned some moves. Its all good.”

“It was going to end in the next six weeks anyway,” she smiled.

The actress was clearly in good spirits after her dismissal. But perhaps getting the boot wasn’t a surprise to Vivica, as she had apparently fallen out of favor with many of the “DWTS” faithful.

“Considering the ABC message boards were buzzing with anti-Vivica posts talking about her out of control ego, it didn’t surprise me that she got booted tonight,” Access TV producer Laura Saltman noted.

Nevertheless, Vivica said being kicked off the show wouldn’t change her in any way.

“This can not diminish my strength. You can not take that away from me. I will never not pretend to be a strong woman. If they cant deal with it, then that’s on them,” she told Access.

Joining Vivica in the bottom two this week were Monique Coleman and partner Louis Van Amstel, who last week earned top score from the judges.

Seven celebrities are left to shake it in the samba and attempt a group dance next week. And as for Vivica’s pick to win it all?

“I think the final two are definitely going to be Mario [Lopez] and Joey [Lawrence] and for the females, Willa — she seems to be coming on,” Vivica said.
