‘Walking Dead’ Spinoff Casts ‘Gone Girl’ Star Kim Dickens

The “Walking Dead” companion series has cast its female lead.

Kim Dickens, who recently starred in “Gone Girl,” has joined the upcoming prequel from “TWD” creator Robert Kirkman and showrunner Dave Erickson, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Kim will play Nancy Tomkins, a guidance counselor who is dating her co-worker, Sean Cabrera. The character has two kids and a “troubled past,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Gang Related” alum Cliff Curtis will play Sean.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, while Rick Grimes and his gang are busy battling walkers in a post-apocalyptic Atlanta, in the new spinoff, the zombies and survivors will be West Coast-based.
