‘Watchmen’ Star Malin Akerman To Replace Lindsay Lohan In Porn Biopic

That didn’t take long!

After “Inferno” director Matthew Wilder announced he was moving forward with the Linda Lovelace biopic without Lindsay Lohan on Saturday, the troubled starlet has reportedly already been replaced by blond stunner Malin Akerman, according to People.

“Lindsay had scheduling issues due to legal obligations and is continuing to focus on getting better in rehabilitation in Palm Springs, and she really had to focus on that in our opinion – and hers,” the film’s producer, Chris Hanley, told the mag. “For herself and her career in general it was really her decision to just focus on getting better psychologically.”

Malin, 32, is best known for playing Vince Vaughn’s on-screen wife in “Couples Retreat,” and the smoldering Laurie Jupiter/Silk Spectre in 2009’s sci-fi superhero film, “Watchmen.”

“Malin was passionate to take this challenge of the role to task,” Chris told the mag. “And we feel she has the talent to meet that challenge.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, “Inferno” director Matthew Wilder told E! News on Saturday that other actresses were now being considered for the role that Lindsay has been attached to for months.

“We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support,” Matthew told the site. “Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her — and some other issues — have made it impossible for us to go forward.”

Lindsay is currently undergoing court-ordered rehab treatment, under the direction of the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
