What’s Next For Lindsay Lohan?

Lindsay Lohan’s career took off at the age of 12 when she starred in 1998’s “The Parent Trap.” Offers flew in and she became a superstar and rich for all the right reasons.

But lately, things have taken a turn for the star who asked the public to “stop judging” her and accusing her of being an “aloof, spoiled ungrateful and unprofessional person,” in a recent interview with E! News. And, without a host of acting roles on the horizon, Lindsay also lashed out at the paparazzi, suggesting their presence affects her ability to book acting work.

“This is my f***ing livelihood. It depends on this,” Lindsay shouted at the paparazzi recently. “Please, just f***ing take a night off. Don’t record me.”

According to gossip blogger Perez Hilton, Lindsay’s life is in flux.

“I think she’s living in a world of controlled chaos,” he told Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts in a recent interview.

Having documented Lindsay’s every move over the last few years, Perez said he sees the star going to rehab – again.

“Much like Britney finally had an intervention, do you think Lindsay needs one?” Tony asked.

“I think definitely she could use one,” Perez said. “The problem with her is that both her parents are messes.”

But Lindsay’s wild child image may have turned into a catch-22. The party lifestyle helps and hurts her. Promoted club appearances reportedly help bring in extra money for girlfriend Samantha Ronson at DJ gigs, something like an extra $20,000 per event.

But that same behavior kills Lindsay’s acting career, as insuring unpredictable actors is very difficult.

“The insurance bill for Lindsay was more expensive than her actual acting salary,” producer Will Keenan, who worked on a Lindsay film that was stalled, told Access.

Keenan claims Lindsay’s car accident and subsequent rehab stints in 2008 were issues for insurers.

“For an independently financed production, it was game over,” he said.

While not making movies, Lindsay has a leggings line called 6-1-2-6, and an upcoming bronzer line “Sevin Nyne,” but lately it’s a modeling career that she is after.

A Fornarina Italian clothing line commercial found its way to YouTube recently and it might be her first step.

Lindsay recently said she wanted to sign with modeling agency IMG and Senior Vice President Ivan Bart said he would be interested in meeting with her.

“She’s a beautiful girl and obviously knows a lot about fashion providing that she was contractually free, we would take a meeting,” he told Access.
