Who Did George Clooney Call After Being Arrested?

George Clooney was arrested on Friday during a protest at the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, D.C. on Friday, and he’s now revealed he called one special lady for help.

While some have speculated “The Descendants” star may have used his one phone call from jail to dial girlfriend Stacy Keibler, or perhaps his lawyer or publicist, the good-natured actor/humanitarian admitted he turned to another woman in his life – perhaps the one who knows him best.

“[I called] my mom,” George, 50, told TMZ reporters with a laugh, when asked who he rang from the slammer.

“Nothing ever changes,” he added.

George and his father, journalist Nick Clooney, were arrested for civil disobedience after protesting Sudan’s blockage of food and other humanitarian aid from entering the country near the Nuba Mountains in the country’s southern region.

The Oscar nominee was released several hours later after paying a $100 fine.
